The University Centre has a small library with a collection of books and other media. The largest part of our resources are acquired for the master study programmes Coastal and Marine Management, and Coastal Communities and Regional Development. It is therefore a highly specialized library, but also balanced, in accordance with the diverse topics taught on the programmes.

Furthermore, through the Icelandic Consortium for Electronic Subscriptions, we have access to a wide range of international peer-reviewed e-journals, e-books collections, databases, citation databases and encyclopedias.

Our master's programmes being offered in collaboration with the University of Akureyri (UNAK), students also have access to additional subscriptions offered by the UNAK. The University of Akureyri Library and Information Services (UAL) subscribes to various databases in the main subject fields taught at the university, such as fisheries sciences, law and psychology.

University Centre holdings are catalogued in the Icelandic Union Catalogue and may be retrieved via the leitir.is interface. Instructions on how to limit searches to University Centre holdings can be found here.

The public library in Ísafjörður has good facilities for studying too.
