UW students live in many places in Ísafjörður. For a long time, apartments where students shared a private bathroom and kitchen were the most common option, and the availability of individual apartments for students was little.
A new student dormitory became available in the autumn of 2023. The first students were able to move into one of the buildings in September and both buildings were officially inaugurated in December 2023.
On this page, students can seek information about the forms of residence that are available in Ísafjörður. Prospective students are responsible for securing housing themselves. Enrolled students have priority at the student dormitory until May 15th each year, after that they enter a waiting list.
