Research at the University Centre of the Westfjords is primarily focused on the topics in the Coastal Studies masters programs. Masters student theses form the majority of the research activity at UW. Outside of masters theses, UW staff and teachers are engaged in their own research and also serve as hosts to visiting researchers and offer support as associated partners in other projects.
University Centre of the Westfjords welcomes scholars who want to spend short or long time in Ísafjörður or neighbouring towns to work on their projects.
