Fish drying huts in Dýrafjörður
The following preliminary timetable gives you an idea of what each day of the painting course will look like. The days will normally begin at 10.00 with a painting lecture in technique and colour with Guðbjörg Lind until about 10.45. The course will then continue until 12.00 with participants painting and being instructed. At noon we take an hour's break for lunch, which will be followed by a practical session from 13.00-15.00. Here the participants will again work on their own art pieces. Guðbjörg will instruct and help from 13.00-14.00. Hereafter the participants are free to paint on their own and to do other activities. Painting outside and at midnight will be part of the course, but the schedule must in general be regarded as subject to change depending on the weather.

Three out of six days will be according to the schedule mentioned above. Lectures and instructions will take place in Þingeyri. One day we will make a day trip to Ísafjörður, the capital of the Westfjords. There we will visit artists, see paintings in museums and private homes, learn about Icelandic heritage art and visit artists working in the Westfjords. One afternoon we will make a trip to the amazing waterfall Dynjandi in the Westfjords Alps and use the experience in our painting. The last day of the course, Saturday, we will prepare for a local exhibition that will take place in the afternoon.
