University of Manitoba Icelandic Field School
Department of Icelandic Language and Literature at the University of Manitoba offers a field school in Icelandic language and literature.
The Icelandic Field School 2010 took place June 12 - 25. This year a three-day event was organised in connection with the group´s stay in the Westfjords, World Light - World Song. The event featured a literary symposium, a concert, a hike in the breath-taking Westfjord nature as well as a sailing trip. For more information please follow this link.
The aim of the course is to explore Icelandic culture, highlighting the relation between nature, culture and environment. This field school program will offer instruction around the country in cooperation with the University of Iceland in Reykjavík and the University Centre of the Westfjords. Icelandic writers, poets and visual artists will also give readings and performances.
