Deadline
The application deadline for citizens outside the EU/EEA area is February 15th.The first application deadline for EU/EEA Citizens is April 15th. The second application deadline for EU/EEA citizens is June 5th. Applications arriving before the first deadline will be prioritized.

Supporting documentation for application
Please note that your application will not be processed until all required enclosures have been received. Also note that items 3 and 4 apply only to those who are applying for the whole programme, and not for applications for single courses.
1. Official evidence of previous education as well as academic records in the form of certified transcripts.
2. Curriculum Vitae.
3. References from at least two people.
4. Certification of English Language proficiency (if applicable).
Annual fee
The annual fee for the master´s program in Coastal and Marine Management at the University Centre of the Westfjords is ISK 120.000 for students from the European Economic Area (EEA) and ISK 240.000 for students from other countries (out-of-state tuition).
Collection
The annual fee is collected for each academic year and should be paid by July 30 each year before the coming academic year begins. Students pay the annual fee after they receive a letter of admission.

The right to study
A student who does not pay the annual fee in time can expect to have forfeited his/her right to study in the CMM program. A student is not formally registered/enrolled at the program until the annual fee has been paid.
Refund
The annual fee is non-refundable. However, in exceptional circumstances, such as serious illness, an accepted student can apply for a refund, though each case is individually evaluated. If a student applies for a refund he/she should apply to the Director of Education and Teaching where the reasons are explained and necessary evidence and certificates presented. If a refund is agreed the student will receive half of the fee refunded.
Icelandic Course
All Students accepted to the Coastal and Marine Management program are invited to take a one-week or a three-week course in Icelandic Language and Culture, with a discount. The courses will be held in Ísafjörður and Núpur in August.
Applying for single courses
We also invite you to take single Master's Courses as a guest student, with the approval of your home university. People working in the field of Coastal and marine management or related fields are also welcome to take single Master's Courses.Please visit the Open Master's Courses website for further information and application forms.
