Each student is assigned two advisors from the beginning: One advisor from the Innovation Centre Iceland (NMÍ), and one advisor chosen according to the nature of the innovation project, preferably chosen at the same time as the academic advisor. If the nature of the project changes during the studies, it is possible to change the advisor accordingly. The student and advisors, in cooperation with the University Centre administrative director of education and teaching, design a study plan which takes into account the previous education of the student as well as his/her innovation project. The study plan must also be in compliance with the learning outcomes. After the master's study committee has accepted the plan and it's accompanied changes, the administrative director of education and teaching administrates the study plan and follows up as necessary.
