Anna Guðrún Edvardsdóttir

Anna Guðrún Edverdsdóttir was born and raised in Reykjavík. At the age of 23 she moved to the Westfjords to teach. She now lives in Bolungarvík where she is married and has two boys. She has a Bachelor’s degree from the School of Education at the University of Iceland where her chosen subjects were Icelandic and Danish. She also has a Master’s degree from the same school in Education Management. Today Anna Guðrún is studying for her Doctorate degree at the same university where she is researching higher education and rural development.

Anna Guðrún has been a teacher and principal for 18 years. In the Westfjords she has taught at the Educational Centre and also worked as a project manager for the University Centre of the Westfjords and the Nature Centre of the Westfjords. She has a temporary position teaching Danish as a distance learning subject in the undergraduate department at Reykjavík University.
