Course Dates

The course Icelandic in One Week is taught both in the winter and in the summer.

1. The winter course
The course begins on Tuesday evening, 3 January, 2012, with an orientation at the University Centre of the Westfjords, and concludes at 12:00 on Sunday, 8 January 2012.

As you typically need to spend one overnight in Reykjavík on the way to Ísafjörður from abroad (see Getting to Ísafjörður), you should book your flight to Iceland so that you arrive in Reykjavík no later than the evening of 2 January (Monday). Similarly, if you are leaving directly after the course, you should not book a flight leaving Iceland any earlier than the morning of 10 January (Tuesday). Please note that any overnight stay in Reykjavík is your own responsibility.

2. The summer course
The course begins on Sunday evening, 26 August, 2012, with an orientation at the University Centre of the Westfjords, and concludes with a final party on Friday evening, 31 August, 2012

As you typically need to spend one overnight in Reykjavík on the way to Ísafjörður from abroad (see Getting to Ísafjörður), you should book your flight to Iceland so that you arrive in Reykjavík no later than 25 August (Saturday). Similarly, if you are leaving directly after the course, you should not book a flight leaving Iceland any earlier than the morning of 2 September (Sunday).
Please note that any overnight stay in Reykjavík is your own responsibility.
